Interconnected Worlds
This thesis offers a comparative interdisciplinary analysis of the ecodramaturgical works by Colleen Murphy (2017) and Chantal Bilodeau (2019). Across 70 pages, the frameworks of ecofeminism, animal agency and indigenous studies are utilized to interrogate representations of animals as agentic subjects, the interconnectedness of human and nonhuman life, and the parallels between systemic oppression and environmental degradation.

Reimagining Home
Written for "American Literature in the Age of Urban Crisis," this paper takes a close look at the ways in which James Baldwin challenges ideas of home, family, and belonging in his novel Another Country (1962). Through the portrayal of characters' displacement and their failed relationships, this essay ultimately shows how racism, patriarchal constraints, and social inequality make the ideal of home unattainable.

After having conducted linguistic field research, this report examines the presence and significance of the Arabic language in the Brussels neighborhood of Molenbeek-Saint-Jean. At it's core lies the argument that despite its lack of official recognition, Arabic is highly visible in commercial and informal spaces where it serves both practical and symbolic functions.
